FULL-TIME POSITIONS

Assistant Catering Director - The Assistant Catering Director assists the Catering Director in promoting the Club’s facilities for private banquets, business and social meetings, club sponsored events and other member related activities. He/she is responsible for providing all aspects of booking member functions including pre-planning meetings, BEO creation, marketing/communications, event execution (with banquet department), billing and follow-up.  Candidates must have exemplary customer service skills, a positive, upbeat and friendly personality. Strong communication, organizational skills and team work are essential. 3-4 years previous hospitality or catering experience required. Proper training may be considered in lieu of experience.

Dining Supervisor -The Dining Supervisor reports to and assists the Clubhouse Dining Manager in overseeing all clubhouse à la carte food and beverage service operations in the upscale-casual and formal dining areas of the club. He/She is responsible for assisting in the daily execution of service, acting as a reservationist, coordinates event planning and works with a staff of twenty full and part time employees. Assistant Dining Manager - The Assistant Service Manager(s) assists the Casual Dining Operations Manager in overseeing the Winter Center a la carte food and beverage operation. He/She is responsible for overseeing service staff in the daily execution of the operations. Staff Accountant - Under general supervision, the Staff Accountant will have significant responsibility for financial reporting to include financial statement production and analysis and as well as special ad-hoc reporting projects. The position will also be involved in various internal control related functions. Gardener - Under general supervision, gardeners perform technical horticultural tasks and other skilled work in gardening and landscape maintenance.  Gardeners are also expected to help with other tasks such as turf maintenance, tree maintenance, leaf removal, holiday decorating, and snow removal. Retail Manager -  The Retail Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing a quality driven, and profitable merchandising operation with Tennis, Fitness and Aquatics merchandise that is consistent with preferences, needs and demographics of the members of Chevy Chase Club.  The Retail Manager develops the merchandising philosophy and annual buying plan for all goods and accessories merchandise.

PART-TIME POSITIONS 

Part Time staff work an average of 20-28 hours per week and schedules may vary.  Qualified applicants must be available weekends and holidays as needed.

Hockey Program Coordinator - The Hockey Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the engagement of coaches for the hockey program, the planning and execution of team tryouts, development of training plans, the implementation of coach and player evaluations, ensuring coaches are properly certified, and other matters specific to the successful operation of the boys and girls hockey programs.  The Hockey Program Coordinator should be able to demonstrate effective communications skills, team building skills, financial literacy, setting clear goals and expectations and aiding the Skate Director and senior staff in continuing to enhance the Club’s service minded culture. Visibility, member engagement and authentic enjoyment of building member relationships will be essential. Previous Hockey playing and coaching experience is required.

Banquet Server - The Banquet Server's main goal is to serve all the food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting. Responsibilities include following all service standards on a consistent basis including, but not limited to, clockwise movement around the table and serving/clearing from the appropriate side; serving ladies before gentlemen, table setup, maintenance and etiquette standards. Formal Dining Room Server – The Dining Room Server’s main goals is to serve all food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting.  Responsibilities include the ability to understand and communicate beverages, menu and wine selections/specials, work well as a team, adhere to Club and Dining Room Service and policy standards, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment as well as display a positive and friendly attitude.  Qualified applicants will find a more detailed description of the position and are encouraged to apply utilizing the link at the top of the page.

Casual Dining Server - The casual dining server’s primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guests food and beverage service in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner while adhering to service standards outlined by the Club. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests to ensure their experience at the club is above and beyond their expectations each and every time. This individual must excel at implementing emotional self-awareness while maintaining a graceful, warm presence under pressure. Line Cook - The Line Cook must possess the necessary knife skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively; complete accurate food requisitions in a timely manner; ensure that all products being used is of highest quality. The Line Cook is responsible for efficiently and effectively setting up and breaking down food stations (i.e. hot or cold restaurant lines or buffets); labeling all food with the item name, date and staff’s name. Bartender - The Bartender serves beverages to members and their guests in a professional, efficient and courteous manner in a clean, attractive environment. The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following service standards as well as setup and clean-up. This is a fast paced position involving constant member and guest interaction. Candidates must have evening and weekend availability. Prior experience is required. Bar Porter - The Bar Porter’s responsibilities include effectively and efficiently replenishing and restocking bar supplies and beverages when requested. The Bar Porter additionally ensures that all bars are clean, sanitary and organized and that the store room and beer box are clean and organized. The Bar Porter appropriately stocks private party and club function bars per Banquet Event Order on a consistent basis and responds to pages and phone calls in a timely manner. Golf Bag Room/Outside Operations Attendant -  The Bag Room / Outside Operations Attendant is responsible for retrieving clubs for the members and clean when returned.   Daily duties also include daily cleaning of the Golf Shop and Bag Room, cleaning Golf Cars and driving Golf Cars to/from Cart Storage.  Qualified applicants must be able to lift 40+ pounds, possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to provide top level service to members at all times.   Qualified applicants will find a more detailed description of the position and are encouraged to apply utilizing the link at the top of the page. 

Ladies’ Fitness Center/Indoor Tennis Housekeeper – The Fitness Center Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all women’s bathrooms, showers, steam room, sauna, windows, mirrors, food station, water fountains, furniture in offices and common areas in the Fitness Center and Indoor Tennis as well as checking and stocking supplies and amenities and towels in bathrooms and ladies lockers.  She is also required to work in the Fitness Center Laundry washing, folding and distributing towels, bathrobes and linens.  The Housekeeper strives to consistently exceed the expectations of the Club’s members and guests creating and maintaining an orderly, clean, safe, health and aesthetically pleasing environment. 

2017 SUMMER SEASONAL POSITIONS

Poolside Server -  The  2017 Pool Server's primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guest’s with exquisite food and beverage service in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner while consistently adhering to the Club’s service standards. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests on a daily basis.  This is a SEASONAL position May 26th - September 14th with training prior to opening.

Golf Course/Turf Technician - Under direction, the 2017 Golf Course/Turf Technician is responsible for agronomic maintenance and related duties necessary in maintaining a golf course.  The Golf Course/Turf Technician operates motorized equipment and trucks on the golf course and other areas as well as performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance and construction.  Qualified candidates must work well in an organized team setting, have a passion to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be available to work weekends and overtime when necessary. This is a SEASONAL position April 1st - August 31st. 

Tennis Instructor - The 2017 Tennis Instructor is responsible for providing both private and group instruction to Club tennis enthusiasts of all ages.  With instruction, the Instructor is responsible for the set-up of all equipment and returning all items to their appropriate locations once instruction is complete.  The Instructor will also assist with the Junior Program, Boys and Girls Junior Interclub, practices, matches, schedules and team selection.  The Instructor will also attend and assist with all events and assist with the Pro Shop and Desk coverage when necessary.   This is a SEASONAL position May 1st - August 31st. 

Ladies Laundry/Pool Attendant - The 2017 Pool Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding and delivering towels to lockers and benches around the pool.  Other duties include cleaning the ladies lockers, showers and bathrooms at the pool, picking up dirty towels and delivering to the laundry to be washed and provide towels for member use; cleaning the second floor ladies lockers, showers and bathrooms; helping with pressing linens in the main laundry and assisting in the set up for pool parties.  Other duties may be assigned by Housekeeping Supervisors.   This is a SEASONAL position May 1st - September 30th.
