Chevy Chase Club Available Positions

THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE CHEVY CHASE CLUB:

FULL-TIME POSITIONS

Athletic Director and Hockey Program Coordinator - The Athletic Director and Hockey Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the following department heads: Director of Skating, Aquatics Director, Fitness Director, Bowling Manager, and Youth Activities Director.  In addition this individual will personally coordinate the engagement of coaches for the hockey program, the planning and execution of team tryouts, development of training plans, the implementation of coach and player evaluations, ensuring coaches are properly certified, and other matters specific to the successful operation of the boys and girls hockey programs.  The Athletic Director should be able to demonstrate effective communications skills, team building skills, financial literacy, setting clear goals and expectations and aiding the General Manager and senior staff in continuing to enhance the Club’s service minded culture. Visibility, member engagement and authentic enjoyment of building member relationships will be essential. Additionally, the Athletic Director will sit on the Club’s Skating, Swim, Fitness and Bowling Committees.   

Dining Supervisor -The Dining Supervisor reports to and assists the Clubhouse Dining Manager in overseeing all clubhouse à la carte food and beverage service operations in the upscale-casual and formal dining areas of the club. He/She is responsible for assisting in the daily execution of service, acting as a reservationist, coordinates event planning and works with a staff of twenty full and part time employees. Clubhouse Service Director - The Clubhouse Service Director is responsible for providing exceptional service and experiences to the Club’s members and guests through the à la carte food and beverage operations in the upscale-casual and formal dining areas of the club. The Clubhouse Service Director will evaluate and enhance service standards, develop training programs, oversee the daily execution of service in the dining rooms and manage a team of twenty full and part time employees to include a Dining Supervisor. Assistant Equipment Mechanic - Under direction, the Assistant Equipment Mechanic makes major and minor mechanical repairs as necessary, on a variety of gasoline and diesel powered golf course equipment. Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, inventory control, priority setting for equipment repair and replacement, fabrication of tools, diagnoses of repairs, establishes equipment repair priorities and  prepares equipment for special projects.

Catering Coordinator - The Catering Coordinator serves as our first contact, representing the Catering Office and the Club to our membership in a fast paced environment.  This individual will facilitate the inquiry and booking process with members as it relates to private events and club functions.  The Catering Coordinator is responsible for the daily organization of the office, coordination of the Club’s website for online event reservations, creation of setup diagrams and facilitates office billing. He/she will possess effective communication skills, be task-oriented and highly organized.

PART-TIME POSITIONS 

Part Time staff work an average of 20-28 hours per week and schedules may vary.  Qualified applicants must be available weekends and holidays as needed.

Tennis Desk Attendant - The Tennis Desk Attendant is responsible for administrative and other tasks in the Tennis Pro Shop including but not limited to assigning court to members, answering member inquiries, selling and restocking merchandise and maintaining a clean, orderly Pro Shop. Specific duties include, but are not limited to answering phone inquiries, assigning courts for members, selling merchandise and registering members for clinics, lessons, special events and tournaments. 

Fitness Center/Indoor Tennis Housekeeper -  The Fitness Center Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all women's bathrooms, showers, steam room, sauna, windows, mirrors, food station, water fountains, furniture in offices and common areas in the Fitness Center and Indoor Tennis as well as checking and stocking supplies and amenities and towels in bathrooms and ladies lockers. She is also required to work in the Fitness Center laundry, washing, folding and distributing towels, bathrobes and linens. The housekeeper strives to consistently exceed the expectations of the Club’s members and guests creating and maintaining an orderly, clean, safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Banquet Server - The Banquet Server's main goal is to serve all the food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting. Responsibilities include following all service standards on a consistent basis including, but not limited to, clockwise movement around the table and serving/clearing from the appropriate side; serving ladies before gentlemen, table setup, maintenance and etiquette standards. Formal Dining Room Server – The Dining Room Server’s main goals is to serve all food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting.  Responsibilities include the ability to understand and communicate beverages, menu and wine selections/specials, work well as a team, adhere to Club and Dining Room Service and policy standards, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment as well as display a positive and friendly attitude.  Qualified applicants will find a more detailed description of the position and are encouraged to apply utilizing the link at the top of the page.

Casual Dining Server - The casual dining server’s primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guests food and beverage service in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner while adhering to service standards outlined by the Club. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests to ensure their experience at the club is above and beyond their expectations each and every time. This individual must excel at implementing emotional self-awareness while maintaining a graceful, warm presence under pressure. Line Cook - The Line Cook must possess the necessary knife skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively; complete accurate food requisitions in a timely manner; ensure that all products being used is of highest quality. The Line Cook is responsible for efficiently and effectively setting up and breaking down food stations (i.e. hot or cold restaurant lines or buffets); labeling all food with the item name, date and staff’s name. Bartender - The Bartender serves beverages to members and their guests in a professional, efficient and courteous manner in a clean, attractive environment. The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following service standards as well as setup and clean-up. Bar Porter - The Bar Porter’s responsibilities include effectively and efficiently replenishing and restocking bar supplies and beverages when requested. The Bar Porter additionally ensures that all bars are clean, sanitary and organized and that the store room and beer box are clean and organized. The Bar Porter appropriately stocks private party and club function bars per Banquet Event Order on a consistent basis and responds to pages and phone calls in a timely manner.  2017 SUMMER SEASONAL POSITIONS

Summer Camp Coach -  The  2017 Chevy Chase Club Summer Camp Coach is responsible for ensuring a safe yet fun environment for campers throughout the summer. The Coach must act in a professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner to children, their parents, and fellow Chevy staff.  In addition, a Coach is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for members and guests. A Coach is not just a care-taker, but an “entertainer”; they should be creative in keeping children in the Summer Camp active and engaged. This is a SEASONAL position June 19th - August 4th with training in May. 

Pool Canteen Server -  The  2017 Pool Server's primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guest’s with exquisite food and beverage service in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner while consistently adhering to the Club’s service standards. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests on a daily basis.  This is a SEASONAL position May 26th - September 14th with training prior to opening.
