THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE CHEVY CHASE CLUB:

FULL-TIME POSITIONS

Staff Accountant - The Staff Accountant position will have significant responsibility for financial reporting to include financial statement production and analysis and as well as special ad-hoc reporting projects. The Staff Accountant will also be involved in various internal control related functions.  This individual reports directly to the Assistant Controller and must possess excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with all Club Managers.   Attention to detail and excellent Microsoft Office skills are essential. 

Banquet ManagerThe Banquet Manager coordinates the operation of all private parties and club function related food and beverage service. The Banquet Manager plans, implements and maintains standards and procedures that will improve the staff, services, and overall member satisfaction. The Banquet Manager will set the example for all areas as outlined and maintain a professional, business profile while acting as a Chevy Chase Club representative. He/she will assist in all areas as assigned, promoting team work and maintaining the standards and policies of the Club. The Banquet Manager will be highly visible, will reflect the conservative, professional nature of the Club environment and interact with the membership as much as needed. The abilities to effectively communicate across various constituencies, multitask, and recruit and retain a well trained service team are essential.

Director of Fitness and Wellness -  The Director of Fitness and Wellness oversees a full-service fitness facility with services consisting of personalized fitness services, nutritional consultation, therapeutic or post-rehab exercise programs, massage therapy, Reformer Pilates, group exercise classes, and sport-specific training. The Director of Fitness and Wellness also aids in the promotion of wellness concepts by offering alternative group health classes as well as discussing wellness & lifestyle trends with the membership. He or she supervises a wide array of fitness and customer service professionals. The Director of Fitness and Wellness also controls all aspects of the facility’s operations including staffing, accounting, budget creation, marketing, market analysis and member relations.

Pastry Cook -  The Pastry Cook supports Culinary Leadership Team and all Clubhouse management staff in the endeavor to provide the highest quality service and product deemed necessary to satisfy Chevy Chase Club members and guests.  The Pastry Cook works with the pastry team to create an exemplary experience for members and their guest and follows up with these individuals with additional services that enhance the overall experience.  This individual prepares and properly garnish all food orders in accordance with menu specifications, prepares plated desserts, miniature pastries, breads, cakes and cookies in accordance with menu, and presents desserts using proper plate presentation techniques as defined by the Culinary Leadership Team.

PART-TIME POSITIONS 

Part Time staff work an average of 20-28 hours per week and schedules may vary.  Qualified applicants must be available weekends and holidays as needed.

Banquet Server - The Banquet Server's main goal is to serve all the food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting. Responsibilities include following all service standards on a consistent basis including, but not limited to, clockwise movement around the table and serving/clearing from the appropriate side; serving ladies before gentlemen, table setup, maintenance and etiquette standards. Formal Dining Room Server – The Dining Room Server’s main goals is to serve all food and/or beverage needs of the membership and their guests in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner in a formal setting.  Responsibilities include the ability to understand and communicate beverages, menu and wine selections/specials, work well as a team, adhere to Club and Dining Room Service and policy standards, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment as well as display a positive and friendly attitude.  Qualified applicants will find a more detailed description of the position and are encouraged to apply utilizing the link at the top of the page.

Casual Dining Server - The casual dining server’s primary responsibility is to provide the membership and their guests food and beverage service in the most professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner while adhering to service standards outlined by the Club. Servers will strive to exceed the expectations of our members and their guests to ensure their experience at the club is above and beyond their expectations each and every time. This individual must excel at implementing emotional self-awareness while maintaining a graceful, warm presence under pressure. They must also exhibit excellent prioritizing skills, initiative, and a flexible nature, in a fast paced multi-faceted environment. Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified applicants will find a more detailed description of the position and are encouraged to apply utilizing the link at the top of the page.

Line Cook - The Line Cook must possess the necessary knife skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively; complete accurate food requisitions in a timely manner; ensure that all products being used is of highest quality. The Line Cook is responsible for efficiently and effectively setting up and breaking down food stations (i.e. hot or cold restaurant lines or buffets); labeling all food with the item name, date and staff’s name. Line Cook Staff are encouraged to actively use his/her creativity to create new dishes, design buffet arrangements or bring new ideas to the Executive Chef. Proceed to our online job portal for a full job description. Bartender - The Bartender serves beverages to members and their guests in a professional, efficient and courteous manner in a clean, attractive environment. The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following service standards as well as setup and clean-up. This is a fast paced position involving constant member and guest interaction. Candidates must have evening and weekend availability. Prior experience is required. 2018 SEASONAL  POSITIONS 

The 2018 Summer Season runs approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day with training beginning prior to Memorial Day.  Seasonal positions are for a specific duration of time (less than 6 months).  Staff work an average of 25-40 hours per week and schedules may vary.  Qualified applicants must be available weekends and holidays as needed.
